The target audiences for the Nolita Interior Design website are home and business owners who are looking for an interior designer’s professional expertise in renovating their home or commercial space.
The main objective of the website is for potential clients to;
- view information about the services offered.
- contact Anita to further discuss her services or to book a consultation.
- see examples of work previously completed by Anita.
- verify the quality of Anita’s work by viewing testimonials from former clients.
Initial list of keywords

I started my keyword research focusing on the south-east area – Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford – but found that search volume is very low and some competition data is not available due to low numbers. So I expanded my location to the whole of Ireland as Anita also offers online consultation services.
In general, I found that average monthly search volume is low for these search terms (see table above) so I also looked at local competitors’ websites (Tinsley Interiors, Redhaus Interiors, Aspect Interiors) for keyword ideas. I found that beautiful interior design comes up for all three of these sites with an average search volume of 10 – 100 and low competition.
I chose the following two keyword phrases:
- Interior Design
- Paint Colour Consultant
I chose Interior Design as the search volume is high and competition is low and Paint Colour Consultant as even though the volume is low, competition is also low so there’s a good chance to rank for that term. Even though the search volume is higher, I didn’t choose bathroom designer or bedroom designer as competition is high.
